Coronavirus Alert
In the current, rapidly changing climate your safety is our primary concern. To this end, we will conducting telephone consultations as our primary means of assessing patients. If it is felt that you require a face-to-face consultation based on your referral or telephone assessment, the following precautions will be taken:
-
Please do not attend if you have symptoms of recent onset of fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath or other symptoms normally associated with a cold or flu; or if you are suffering from a recent loss of sense of taste or smell.
-
Please do not attend if you have had any international travel in the last 2 weeks or been in contact with people who have traveled in the last 2 weeks.
-
When you attend our clinic you will asked to sign a document to confirm that you don’t have the above issues.
-
Your temperature will be taken on presentation to verify it is not elevated.
-
Our staff will keep patients separated as much as possible in the waiting room and consulting rooms.
-
All surfaces that patients and staff have been in contact with will be cleaned with anti-viral disinfectant between patients
-
Please do not bring children who are not patients. Only one support person can attend our clinic with a patient. All non-patient children should be left at home. It places them at unnecessary risk.
-
If you have a chronic non-urgent condition, please consider postponing your appointment for 3-6 months, until we know it is safe for you and for others
Please call if you have any questions about the above or if you think your symptoms require urgent attention.
We are sorry if it is inconvenient, but these are extraordinary times.
